Nikhil Vaish Detailed Bio
Nikhil's strength is a rare mix of strategic, business, technology, brand building, entrepreneurial and advocacy skills, built through more than 20 years of experience in worldwide marketing.
He began his career in advertising at Ammirati Puris Lintas in India, working on major brand portfolios for Unilever. Nikhil is very proud of being part of the team responsible for Unilever's first ever 360 campaign. He also worked on Cadbury’s, Johnson & Johnson and even found time to launch Sony’s TV channel in India, Sony Entertainment Television. His next move, to Ammirati in London, led to his first foray into the world of Business-to-Business marketing, working on the PriceWaterhouseCoopers brand across Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Next at Ogilvy, New York, he helped build IBM’s first ever Alliances campaign and worked on their Global Industries divisions. During this time he also launched the Siebel Systems brand worldwide and helped AT&T Wireless build their enterprise business strategy.
During his last two years at Ogilvy, Nikhil was entrusted with running Eastman Kodak (EK), one of the agency's largest global clients. The business was consolidated with Ogilvy based on an innovative, transformative client-agency service model which he designed and implemented across the network. Earlier in his tenure, he was responsible for EK’s complex and multi-cultural global product portfolio, which involved managing 27 active markets.
Nikhil left Ogilvy in 2008 seeking more entrepreneurial pastures and co-founded Urban Pixels, a strategy, design and technology consulting company. At Urban Pixels, he launched a successful streaming service, CanIStream. It, and advised a number of early stage startups, helping them bring their products to market. He also led a joint venture with Knowledge in the Public Interest (KPI), a company which works in the non-profit higher education sector, winning projects from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and LaGuardia Community College.
Nikhil currently serves as a strategic advisor at various large and small agencies.
